Hyperimmunoglobulin

Hyperimmunoglobulin(s) are polyclonal, highly enriched antibodies against a specific pathogen that are obtained by repeated vaccinations against a specific pathogen (so-called hyperimmunization). First, the hyperimmunity serum is obtained from the blood. Hyperimmunoglobulin(s) are obtained by further processing the immunoglobulin fraction.

Hyperimmunoglobulin(s) are used for passive immunization of people and as prophylaxis after contact with pathogens.
