Antibodies are proteins from the class of globulins. They are formed by body cells (plasma cells) as a reaction product to certain infection substances, also known as antigens. Antibodies serve the immune system. A class of white blood cells, the plasma cells, respond to B lymphocytes and then produce antibodies.
